TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON REPAIRS 

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By completing the booking in process and leaving your device you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

KK FIX.com reserves the right to amend change and remove any of these terms and conditions at any time without notification or consent.

DEVICE REPAIR QUOTATION

The price quoted by us is an estimate only, based on the information the customer has provided to our system, either on the website or in person.

The price to repair the device may vary to the estimated price eg: (but not limited to) incorrect/inaccurate information provided or other faults arising during the repair process.

Where there is a price difference, the customer will be contacted via email or phone to authorize the new repair quotation.

If PhoneScreenRepairs.Shop proceeds with a new quote, the customer will be responsible for paying either the standard inspection fee or the full repair charge before the device can be returned.

 

MINIMUM SERVICE FEE $35.00

KK FIX.com reserves the right to charge a minimum inspection fee of $35. This fee covers time spent on diagnostics and is waived if the approved quote/repair proceeds. This fee is only applicable if a quote is not accepted or device is not repairable

We may accept the surrender of the device for recycling, if the value equals or exceeds the minimum service fee.

If the customer can not be contacted after 45 days from service completion or assessment, PhoneScreenRepairs.Shop reserves the right to recycle or discard the device, unless by prior mutual arrangement in writing.

THE REPAIR PROCESS

Customer agrees that any faults, internal damage or any other issues which can be found during the assessment of the device appeared prior to sending or bringing your device to us. The Customer also accepts the risk of power failure of the device (which can make it unusable) during the repair process as the result of violation of the usage conditions such as liquid damage, presence of corrosion, physical /impact damage misuse etc.

The Customer agrees that some cosmetic defects may appear on the housing of the device during its disassembly.

USER DATA AND INFORMATION

Whilst KKFIX.com Technicians will take all due and necessary care with device data, we cannot be held responsible for any costs whatsoever associated with lost data, including (but not limited to):

The security of the data with all repairs are at the customer's own risk and it is highly recommended that the customer ensures all data is backed up before submitting your device to for assessment or repair

SHIPPING

Is solely the responsibility/risk of the Customer.

PhoneScreenRepairs.Shop shall not be held liable for any item lost or damaged in transit.

Any device sent to or by us shall be done so using a Tracked Courier service only with tracking details recorded and supplied upon dispatch.

REPAIR TIMEFRAMES

All quoted repair times are estimates only, including specified time frames. Most common device repairs can be carried out the same day or overnight.  If delays due to stock, postage, incorrect/missing passcodes, workload or sickness (or any other issues outside our control) do arise then the customer will be notified (where possible) and the repair will be carried out at earliest occasion.

Whilst all due care is taken, PhoneScreenRepairs.Shop can not and will not be held liable for any kind of costs incurred by the customer or customers representative, caused directly or indirectly by the delayed repairs.

 

WARRANTIES

All repairs performed by KK FIX.com are subject to a 3 month labour warranty plus a 6 month installed parts warranty (unless stated by us otherwise in writing) Exceptions to this are noted below.

The above warranties will only apply if the customer has agreed to the terms and conditions, by booking in either in person, in store or over the phone, online or where device has been couriered to us for repair. These will only apply after a tested successful installation

Excluded from standard warranty:

All devices brought back under warranty will be inspected for any type of gouge, crack chips or shatters (including the plastic frame surrounding the screen and housing of Device) This generally would indicate impact damage or misuse and will void all warranties.

If your device has coded parts.

Pass codes: If the device pass code has not or cannot be supplied for any reason, no labour warranty applies. Repairs are subject to being able to check devices before, during and after completing work, therefore any repairs carried out with no available code is at customer own risk, even if unsuccessful installation was caused by us.

If, within the labour warranty period the device has been opened by a third party and tamper stickers are removed or any other evidence of unauthorised work or inspection voids all warranties

Advanced repair on Devices Main board are subject to a 3 month supplied parts warranty only.

Devices found to have sustained liquid ingress or impact damage, and devices deemed 'dead on arrival' (DOA) are subject to 3 month parts warranty only

(Liquid and Particle ingression damage repairs can be very temperamental and are carried out on a “best endeavors” basis. On occasions the original fault can re-appear after the unit has been repaired and sometimes the faults can even get worse after a period of time. If we specifically state device has had an "Advanced" repair a 3 month part warranty warranty applies).

MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY

Manufacturer's Warranty covers Manufacturing defects only. Impact, Particle ingression, liquid damage or misuse are not covered under manufacturer warranty.

KK FIX.com is an ‘Out of Manufacturers Warranty Repair Service, Customers approving the commencement of any device repair, are hereby notified that the repair will void any remaining factory/manufacturers warranty left on the device and is their sole responsibility to check details with manufacturer before proceeding.

The factory/manufacturers warranty will automatically be void if the device has been damaged due to misuse and will still be void after we repair it.

KK FIX.com will only warranty our own Technicians labour and parts and takes no responsibility for any area of the factory / manufacturers warranty.

 

WARRANTY CLAIMS

Any warranty claims can only be verified and approved by a KK FIX.com Technician. The warranty must be claimed by the original customer, not by any other third party, unless permission is specifically given in writing.

Once KK FIX.com has been notified of an issue within either the parts or labour  warranty period, the customer has 7 working days to provide the device to KK FIX.com for assessment.  Outside this timeframe the claim will be void.  Exceptions may apply if valid reason is provided (ie: sickness, out of the region/country, bereavement etc) and is at the sole discretion of KK FIX.com Management.

Installed parts warranty: If the claim is for an installed part and the phone has had other physical damaged or functionality issues that were caused by the customer or third party, the claim will be void.

 

PRIVACY

At KK FIX.com we take your privacy very seriously and do not share or sell any information with any third parties nor do we use your information for marketing or advertising Period.

 

DEFINITIONS

Device - Phone, Tablet, IPAD, Laptop computer, Mp3 Player and any other electrical apparatus the we repair.

Liquid damage - The ingress of water into your device due to contact with any type of liquid or gas ie condensation.

Impact Damage - When Device has been dropped or come into contact with any stationary or moving object with force be it gravity or momentum. ie floor wall ground etc

Particle ingression - When the Device has been in contact with particles small enough to enter the internals of the device. ie sand dust etc

Tested Successful installation. - When the device has undergone repair or replacement it is the verification of full correct functionality of Device*

Coded parts - Any part of the device that has been specifically coded to that device

D.O.A ( Dead on arrival ) - Where the device cannot be powered on used normally without first partially opening device commencing repair or attempted temporary repair to assess the problems the device may or may not have. Including but not limited to Touch and/or LCD screen not working device not powering on LCD picture unreadable.
